Leaves Blades up to 20 cm long, partially enclose the stem. Flowers Seed head is branched with 3-12 distinctive large drooping spikelets surrounded by papery bracts. Fruit and Seeds Flowers break apart at maturity to leave florets containing grains 2.5 mm long. Habitat Gardens, disturbed areas, urban areas, roadsides, grasslands, open forests.
