Description: Plant Form Tall clumping grass, spreading by horizontal underground stems. Size 2-4 m tall, 60-120 cm wide. Stem Upright foliage clump with erect, tough stems, solid and cane-like. Leaves Arching green leaves, long and narrow, up to 1 m long. Prominent white rib up the middle. Flowers Tiny pink to tan feathery flowers on tall stems. Fruit and Seeds Many small seeds with fine hairs, wind dispersed. Habitat Moist to wet environments, full sun. Disturbed sites, river banks, marshy areas, pastures.
