Rope-like in shape, growing in all directions. Lumpy or corrugated texture. Flowers: Dark pink to purplish-red. 4-9 cm across. Near the end of stems. Fruit and Seeds: Fleshy, spineless, egg-shaped, greenish-yellow. Up to 4 cm long. Can form chains attaching to eachother. Contain yellowish-brown seeds. Habitat: Disturbed areas, roadsides, old gardens, woodlands, grasslands. Distinguishing Features: Rope-like branches growing in various directions distinguish from other Cacti (Cactaceae family).
